We have been chosen as a finalist in the Best Farm Shop
category of the EADT Suffolk Food & Drink Awards 2007. If you

or pick up a voting form in the shop. Closing date is 10 August.
Everything
we grow and sell at the Railway Farm Shop is naturally grown. This
means that we only use natural composts & manure, and we try
to use rainwater we have collected on site as much as possible.
We cannot call our products ‘organic’ because the rules
about this are very strict, and rightly so. If there are farms that
are not organic within a specified distance of your land, and there
are such farms near us, then you cannot call your produce ‘organic’.
However, we can assure you that our products are 100% naturally
grown and free of artificial pesticides and other chemicals.
A
lot of the food we sell is grown on our 3 acres of land while most
of the other products we sell are grown locally. We are delighted
to sell many products grown by people in the village and are keen
to encourage small-scale growers, especially those with organic
status. Just call in and see what we have to offer!

food and produce is the best.

Under new management
In October 2007 the Railway Farm Shop came under new management
- we will endeavour to provide the same high level of service provided
by the previous owners, Tom & Pat Smith, and thank all our customers
for their continuing support. We look forward to serving you in
2008!
